The installation of the printer is generally divided into two parts, one is the connection between the printer and the computer, and the other is the driver that installs the printer in the operating system. If you are installing a USB interface printer, installed without shutting down the computer host and printer, direct the printer's USB connection to the printer, the other end connected to the computer's USB interface on it.
Follow the steps above to connect the printer to the computer, turn on the printer and turn on the computer switch.
When you enter the operating system, you will be prompted to find a printer that the driver of the system will use to install the printer. Some operating systems, such as Windows 7, have their own drivers for many printers, and can automatically install most common printer drivers. If the operating system does not have this printer driver, you need to put the printer's driver disk (floppy or CD-ROM) into the computer, and then install according to the system prompts.
If the printer is connected directly to the local computer, select the local printer, or if the printer is not connected to the local computer, but is connected to another computer (the local computer uses a printer on the other computer over the network), select a different printer. Select the local printer in this example. When clicked, the system provides a list of manufacturer and printer models for the printer, you can use the print driver provided by the Windows operating system, select the printer's driver in the list, and then click. If there is no driver for this printer in the list, you can install the vendor-supplied driver that is included with the printer, and if the operating system is Windows 2000/XP, you will be prompted to find a new printer when the connection to the USB printer is plugged into the USB connector on the computer. Follow the prompts to put the drive disc in the optical drive, click the "OK" button, the system began to search the printer driver, the system to find the printer driver, and then click the "OK" button, the system began copying files from the CD, install the driver, finally prompted the installation completed, click the "Finish" button.
